May 2012 Moms

Last minute things:

Today I bought:

a breast pump

stool softeners

pads

my last bottle of tums

I think that's all I needed still. 17 more days, and I hope I didn't miss anything. I would hate to have to send DH out to get a zillion things I forgot when baby is finally here.

as far as things to do I still have to:

boil bottles and pacifiers

wash one more load of baby clothes

gosh I'm sure there is more, I can't possibly be "ready,"  can I?

what else do you still have to get/do? Maybe I forgot something else too...

Re: Last minute things:

  • What about install the car seat? I know we haven't done that yet among boiling the bottles & such & just organizing/straightening up everything.
  • Loading the player...
  • I keep repacking my hospital bag lol. I seriously need to stop.

AHHH! That's it! I have to pack a hospital bag! I've got baby's all set, just need to pack one for DH and me.

  • So I was thinking about this as I was doing some nesting today and thought this was worth mentioning. One thing I've been working on is getting everything done that will come up due in the next month or two after LO is born. Examples: oil change, tags on car renewed, bills set to auto-pay, changed air filter in our house, flea and tick treatment for the dogs, carpets cleaned, etc. This may be a little overkill, but I figure the less I have to worry about, the more I will be able to focus on making BFing work and focusing on LO!

  • Here are some last minute things I've gotten recently:

    Tylenol for me

Big bottle of hand sanitizer (for us but especially visitors who want to hold the baby)

BF accessories: lanolin cream, nursing pads, nursing bras/nightgowns

    Dermoplast and tucks pads

I also made sure I was stocked up on household goods that would be annoying to have to run out to the store for when we're sleep deprived: toilet paper, tissues, paper towel, detergent, etc.
