I think it's time to buy my first pair, I was really hoping to avoid this, but I know they will feel oh-so-amazeballs. And truth is, I can't live in yoga pants forever.
I'm 5'10 and mostly legs - short torso. Anyone have a good rec for long jeans? Where did you get yours? See them anywhere? Different inseam lengths would be killer, but I'll settle for an "L" on the tag if I must!
Oh and did it work for anyone to just buy a couple size larger for awhile????
Thanks ladies ![]()
Re: Long Maternity Jeans?
I have also had a ton of luck with old navy.
I got mine at gap.
This. I would recommend splurging on some high-end jeans if you can afford it. Joe's, Citizens, 7FAM and Mavi all come in ridiculously long lengths for their norm.
Otherwise, I recommend Gap.
I'm 5'9" and still wear my 3-5" heels daily. I love the Gap maternity jeans and pants. They come in long and fit just like they normally would. I bought my current size and hopefully they'll last me awhile. I honestly think they will because the ones with the demi band stretch nicely at the top and the ones with the full belly band definitely have room for a big bump. You need to buy online though, there are very little Gap Maternity stores in the US.

Motherhood boot cut with the full panel in dark wash, talls. Can you tell I have them? Although I'm not as tall as you (I'm 5'8") I wanted some to be able to wear taller shoes. They are a bit long even for that but thats ok! I'd rather have them longer than shorter! They run about $40 but the quality is really good! I LOVE THEM and have received several comments on them asking me if they are maternity or regular! I'd say thats a win!
The Gap. I bought all my work pants in Long from the Gap and then did a tape hem when I had to stop wearing heals.
As for buying a size up in non-maternity clothes, I didn't do it with DS. I was a size up when I returned to work after the baby so I bought some clothes in a bigger size. I am wearing some of those now but my butt hasn't grown yet, only my stomach so not everything fits right. I'm still doing the hair tie on my button trick.
I'm 5'9" and have Gap Long and Lean jeans. Cute, comfy and economical. They're the right length if I have heels, but are too long with flats. It didn't work for me to buy a size up. I just looked like a had a saggy a**.
I got mine at Old Navy. I was shocked at how big they run, I'm usually a 6 in pants and I got a 4 in the low rise woven waistband bootcut denim. I'm not sure if they will be good through my whole pregnancy, but I've been living in them for the past couple weeks!
However, depending on how long you need, they're only a 34 inch inseam. I only wear flats so they're just right for me. I'm also still using the elastic band trick on some of my jeans that are more generous in the waist.
Good Luck!!!

GAP has actual Long- maternity pants.
I'm not as tall as you but are mostly legs and a short torso and the regulars I have from Motherhood are too short. Same with Old Navy maxi dresses, they are shorter than I like.
I bought a size up when I found pants cheap enough. I am 22 weeks and can still wear my normal pants and jeans with a belly band. I just don't zip or fasten them. HAHA But it saves money! $20 belly band vs. $50 pants.
I just bought a couple Motherhood pairs - LOVE them. I'm 5'8 and some of the pairs I tried on were way too long for me.
