We have a date!

So my dr is going to induce me next tues or wed due to big baby small pelvis concern I'll be 39w and a few days do I'm not concern however I was barely 1cm today and I'm worried if I'm not more by next mon the chance of the induction failing are higher and I don't want a c section. Any other mama have positive induction stories to stay not being very dilated to start ? I am going to try every possible to be more dilated by next week. Any productive tips to share?

    I don't have a story, but my doctor is also inducing me next Tues and I am not dialated at all yet, so that worries me.  I was told that they will use Cervadil to help soften my cervix but am quite nervous about it.

    yeah me too have you been trying anything to help or did your dr recommened anything to you ...all my dr said was be active and have sex(tmi time) that he has to release inside and lie there for a while so it can do its job that it has the same effect as the cervadil does with helping soften the cervix

    I'm being induced next Wednesday as well and my doctor just told me sex, sex, and more sex! haha...I told her we have been and clearly it hasn't been helping so much. Her response, "well his sperm was good enough to get you pregnant, it bettr be good enough to get this baby out!" haha...I would love to be 3cm or so by next Wed to make the induction easier! Good luck!

    O yah thAt would be awesome and thats my goal too I guess we will see sex it is I guess!

    I had a successful induction with DD1 (34w2d due to severe pre-e) and I was not dilated at all to start! I got Cervadil the night before and Pitocin in the morning and was able to fully dilate and deliver vaginally.

    This makes me feel so much better!  I'm afraid that it is going to take days, but fingers crossed that I will have a similar experience.

    OP - my doctor also recommended sex, but to be honest, I have been in so much pain lately that it is the last thing I want to think about!  I cannot even lay down in bed to sleep anymore because I end up gasping for breath since this little girl is crushing my lungs so badly.  I'm thinking about it...
