Thoughts on this?

Someone told me that dull, constant cramping means the cervix is softening.... and that sharp pains with a definite start/stop means the cervix is dilating?

I've had some of both types of pains... just wondering if anyone else has heard this?

I've had both of these a lot and my cervix was closed up tight. :-(

I think if that was true I'd be a lot farther along than 1cm with all of the sharp knife like feelings I've had for weeks.
