How to treat the scar??

I had a c-section almost 4 weeks ago and I'm wondering if anybody has any suggestions of what to put on the scar?  Vitamin E?  Bio Oil?  Plain ole lotion?  Is it too soon to be putting anything on it?  Thanks!

    A noticible scar doesn't form, well atleast for me, until about a 2 months after wards.  I couldn't even tell I had been cut.  So I would wait that way you know everything is healed up right.

    My OB told me not to put anything on it until he cleared me completely.  And he said that even though I did not really have to put anything on it unless it became dry and started itching.  I have never put anything on it and it is extremely faint.

    I have these "Scar-Away" patches that I started wearing after my incision had healed. People swear by them, particularly for c-sections, but I haven't noticed much of a difference. They seem like they're just giant band-aids, really. Maybe I'm just impatient though, because at my 6 week postpartum checkup my doctor seemed pretty amazed by how good my scar looked.
