Can I get pregnant if we don't have sex? (vent - feel free to share yours!)

Ugh!  It's been forever, OK well like over a week.  I'm frustrated!  On vacation, DD shared our room, so that was too weird for us.  Now that we're home, it just doesn't seem to work either!  I'm in need of immaculate conception I guess.  lol

 

Anyone else have a vent?

    I laughed when I saw this because that is pretty much the only way a lot of us will get pregnant! 

    My vent:  I was so excited for my IUI, but now it looks like I still haven't ovulated.  Got the OPK+ on Saturday, but my temps haven't gone up.  I keep thinking about all those sperm hanging out on my uterus who have effectively been stood up, like the nerd in some cheesy 80's movie.

    I have a vent!  I told my mom about my upcoming IF appt and was a little surprised by her comment. 

    "Well that is good, so if the doctor says there is 99% chance of it not working, maybe you can move on with acceptance."

    WTF?!  She is normally very supportive.

    TTC #1 since November 2011
    Dx: Endometriosis, Stenosis of the Cervix, Uterine Polyp, Hostile CM and Borderline PCOS
    Stage 1 Endo and Uterine Polyp removed and Cervix widened on July 9, 2012.
    IUI #1 Clomid 50 mg - 3/6/13 BFN
    IUI #2 Clomid 50 mg - 4/3/13 BFN
    IUI #3 Clomid 50 mg - 10/4/13 BFN
    IUI #4 Clomid 100 mg + HCG trigger - 11/2/13 BFN

    My vents won't fit in the comment box.. lol. I have a bad cold developing and my HSG is scheduled for cd 11, they had to squeeze me in on a day they don't normally do them. So I will already be very uncomfortable from my growing follies, not looking forward to it.

    I have been on pelvic rest so no action for me either.

    My vent, I had to sit in a meeting this morning with a pregnant woman that used to be my boss.  She made a big deal about getting comfortable in her chair.  When she talked to me she rubbed her bump the whole time.  The look on her face made me feel like she was saying "I am pregnant and you are not".  She only did it when she was talking to me and not the other people in the room.

    Well you are certainly probably getting more than me...hahaa.

    No IF vent but I have plantar fasciitis and my feet are KILLING me!! Also my boss is coming home soon so no computer till tonight :) Hope you all have a better day!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    That would be weird with DD in the room.

    My vent is the reverse: We have plenty of sex, but it's useless in the TTC sense.

    Did you?  How funny...I guess when YOU said it, I took it differently than when my Mom did.  Don't worry about it at all!  :)

    Vent du jour - I keep swinging between optimism and extreme pessimism.  This 2ww is messing with my mind.  :(  I had an email from a friend who is pregnant with her 4th send out an email blast to all her friends saying that they finally got a boy.  I am thrilled for her but I still started crying.

    Owl - When I read your comment about being stood up, cheesy 80s movie music immediately started playing in my head. I had a John Hughes moment.

    TTC #1 since 2/10 Me 38 FSH 12.9 & AMH 0.16 DH 47, low sperm count due to meds. 07/11 We have sperm! 28 million, 70% motility, morphology 1% normal. 08/14/11 1st IUI unmedicated BFN. 09/11/11 2nd IUI w/ Femara + trigger BFN 10/14/11 trigger & Final IUI 10/16/11 BFN 10/21/11 Started acupuncture and loving it! 01/21 ET one embryo 6 cell grade C. Beta 02/02. BFN. Taking a much needed break. image

    That is pretty what my Mom said to me. She just does not get it. I do feel for you.

    The last time I spoke to my mom about this she suggested I try a turkey baster before wasting my money. We don't discuss this anymore lol

    Well.....if not having sex is the way to get KU...I'd have a house full of babies LOL...zero action here.

    Llama :(   sometimes they think they are giving that "much needed" advice, but most often it is unwanted or asked for....just like when you were 16!!!!!!

    My Mom recently gave me the "maybe it is not meant to be" 

     

    As far as a vent for today the list is long and once the vent is open it will not stop...so I will refrain this time.

    TTC since 2009 very frustrated 42yr and DH 40

    5 cycles of Clomid with satisfactory response=BFN's
    Fibroid removal Nov2010
    IUI Clomid #1 Feb 2011...BFN..damn it!
    IUI Inject's #2 Apr 2011...CANCELLED...low estradiol
    IUI Inject's #3 June 2011...BFN
    IUI Inject's #4 Sept2011...BFFN
    Lap Dec 2011...severe endo..cyst removed..some remains...
    IVF#1 Apr 2012 ....cancelled due to over suppression
    IVF#2 July 2012....6 follies...only 1 retrieved....BFFN
    surgery suggested to move ovary to an better placement but....we moved two time zones away and are financially and emotionally empty
