A friend of mine just had her baby and the lactation consultant recommended she get this pillow. I have a boppy from my first baby, and am wondering if it's worth getting this thing. Anyone heard of this or have an opinion?

Re: My Brest Friend nursing pillow
I have the pillow in the link below and its the only thing that stops my back pain. I love it even though it takes up 3/4 of the bed.

I didn't care for it at all so I returned it. I have two boppies though, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. My babies didn't ues any other position than the cross cradle so they were always tucked up against me and comfy. Plus they often fell asleep after and I was able to scoop them up, stand up and let the boppy fall, and put them to bed.
I love mine, and plan to use it again this time around.
However, I think I am going to keep it upstairs in the baby's room, and then just use the boppy if I'm downstairs. It was hard lugging it from room to room because it's heavier than the boppy is. Also, as someone mentioned, the boppy is easier to get off if you have to move around after baby falls asleep nursing.
Alas, even with those inconveniences, I'm still excited to use it again this time. I thought it was worth it.
I don't have any experience here, because I'm a FTM. Michelle Duggar loves the brest friend though, so that's saying something! LOL.
I haven't used it, but I registered for it (and received it). One thing I liked about it was that you can wear it while standing and breastfeeding, because it attaches around your waist. I like the idea of being able to be a little more mobile during feedings, if needed (e.g. going to the bathroom, getting up to grab something). I also like that it has the little pocket for storing whatever random item I might need close at hand (cell phone, maybe?). And, I've read that the Brest Friend is less bulky and thus works better with more chairs. With the Boppy, the chair needs to be wide enough for it to fit around you without the chair arms getting in the way.
