2nd Trimester

oh hell..still dry-heaving over here

Road trip in exactly one hour.

14 hours in a truck + all day sickness = BAD trip, bitchy pregnant lady on board.

  • Do you have any meds?

You could grab some Dramamine before you leave. Something has to be better than nothing!

I've begged and pleaded (read: bribed) the baby with ANY kind of pet if it would stop making me sick. Well baby didn't hold up it's end of the deal..

  • oh i feel for you!  dramamine has helped me through some of my worst days, and i know this sounds gross but don't brush your teeth until it all passes- for me the strong toothpaste taste was just enough to get me going all over again.  GOOD LUCK!
  • I am in the same boat. Except our drive is only about an hour. It does however include a ferry boat and a windy road, so I predict some major projectile vomiting out the window. Awesome.

  • have fun!  i use to always have a beer while we crossed... now i get to watch dh drink his as i prepare to face the in-laws... lifes not fair sometimes.
  • I hope the trip goes well for you!

The best advice I can give is to make sure you bring some crackers and other snacks....Munching always seems to settle my tummy down.

  • I always suck on gummy bears while I'm in the car (driving 2 hours to my IL's several times since our bfp). I think the sugars, and having some sort of taste in my mouth, helps. Try it!

Otherwise, hold on for the ride. I feel for you!!

  • What about seabands? Ginger tea (iced) helped me.

Or take a tylenol PM and try to sleep, should help with your nausea too.

  • Ditto seabands, those are great for motion sickness and m/s!

I'm so glad Thanksgiving dinner is 5 minutes away this year.
