Success after IF

IVF veterans....weird thing happens years later

???? Does this happen to anyone else? I get my bloodwork taken randomly and it hurts sooooo bad! The nurse might ask me if I'm afraid of needles and I say no way, I did IVF 5 times, no problems here! So they put the needle in and I'm okay but when its taken out it hurts soooo bad and is sore for days. I was thinking that after all I have been through my veins are just "shot". Also my PIO area feels sore sometimes. I can't believe how this is possible after all this time. 2 years ago at this time I was in the 2ww.

  • Well I still get my blood drawn pretty regularly for my hypothyroid and some blood draws are worse than others, it really has everything to do with the tech drawing them.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Yeah you're right. Guess I had some pretty sucky techs! Coincidentally I was just diagnosed with Graves disease.

You will get to know the lab people who take your blood and run if you see the sucky ones. Funny but I always thought the people at my REs office were the best a blood draws. The ones at my OB office were always the worst. The lab that takes my blood now - I avoid going on Tuesdays because the women who butches me works then.

Crazy that the lab techs would be that sucky that it would hurt for so long!  And crazy your PIO is still a pain in the butt after all this time!  Sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis :(  I've never had a problem but haven't been through as many IVFs as you.  And I have pipes in my arms!

this exactly, I have to go to get thyroid levels checked out.

I was just getting blood about a week ago and she took my blood from one arm, then they brought more orders in. She had to go in the other arm, which is hard than hell to get blood out of, she had to keep digging my arm, I had the worse bruise.
