I've had more than one person tell me in not so many words that while it's nice I'm continuing the species, they don't like babies. Two have been coworkers --teachers of all people. I am always so dumbfounded that I have nothing to say in return. What does one say?

Then and now. How did my boy get so big?
Re: How does one react to this?

What is wrong with people??
ETA: And I mean, great if you don't like babies, but why tell a pregnant woman that? Oversharing.
I'd say "uh thanks..."?
Why would they feel the need to say that?
Pretend they're playing the random information game and tell them something about yourself.
"I don't like babies"
"Haha, yeah! I don't like Channing Tatum's potato-face!"
etc.
While I think the idea here is great-I could never ever say anything bad about my one celeb crush Channing Tatum (hah). But yeah, on a serious note-I would say something to make them understand that was an idiotic statement.
This is great and I might steal it.
