38 Week Appointment - Bummed!

So I went in today for my 38 week appointment and to have my first internal exam today.  Apparently my cervix is still CLOSED...not even 1cm dialated!  Due to medical reasons, my doctor is going to schedule me for induction next week, but says that if I still have not made any progress by then that I will need to go on a drug called Prostaglandin to prep my cervix for delivery.  He then said that this process could take up to a few days in the hospital before I am even ready to begin labor!  I am ready to meet our little girl, but this is NOT how I wanted to proceed.  He says we cannot even use pitocin because I am not dialated at all....this sucks and I am so bummed!!!

    You should try sex.  Your Hubbys semen will do the same thing as the prostaglandin!   It softens your cervix and helps you to efface!

     Yup, not that it works always, but there are the same (natural) hormone (well, I think hormone) in the semen.

    I went in today too for my 38w appt.  I am only 1 cm dilated.  But it hurt like hell to me, and I bled.  Did you bleed at all?

     Yup, not that it works always, but there are the same (natural) hormone (well, I think hormone) in the semen. 

    I would try sex as well. Along with the natural hormones in semen, your orgasm can also trigger contractions !
