Next time keep it on the hush....

So while after walking up 23 stairs to warm my food up for lunch, I started having tightness in my stomach...Im a FTM; so I called my mom and tried to describe to her what was happening...however she was  in a meeting and couldn't talk, my  boyfriend was in the library studying for his CPA exam and did not answer, so I then called my best friend...(she has no kids).

I work at a dealership, and my bestie decides to proceeds to tell the whole office that I was going into labor -____-. Ofcourse I wasn't  in labor and the women who has children thought that it was halarious. saying "Oh you'll know when its time".... grrrr.... The next time I will call my bestfriend about me possibly going into labor...is when I'm in the hospital...It'll save me some embarassment. I'm gonna keep it on the hush and just tell my mom, boyfriend, and sister.

I totally understand!  DH and I had to leave work early on Friday since I was having contractions and everybody flew into a tizzy thinking I was going to deliver right then and there.  We ended up coming back to work on Monday with no outside baby.  It was pretty embarrassing and next time I feel like either we just sneak out or wait until it's very obvious that I'm REALLY in labor to save us all the unnecessary drama.

  • Ditto! Whenever I'm trying to explain what's going on, I always preface it with "I'm not in labor, but..." Doesn't matter, I still get, "Oh, wow, Sarah!!!" *sigh*
  • I get people at work - teenagers - wanting my water to break there at work. To make things more exciting. So in their mind this is how it would go - I would have a huge gush of water & would have to either deliver the baby right there or be rushed to the hospital.

......yeah, they obviously don't know how these things work!
