Trouble with signature?

Im having trouble with my Signature. I go under the edit my avatar & signature. When i go copy & past the HTML from the badge section it does not work. It give me a error message. Am i doing something wrong? I checked the trouble shooting stuff and still cant tell what im doing wrong. Any help would be great!

    Yes i went there & doubled checked. I would post under the regular signature box with the HTL? I thought maybe there may be a sepcific place for any Badges or pics i want for my signature??? Thank you for responding!!
