What do you do on long weekends? Will you freeze what you pump today, and then on Monday thaw some of the older stuff to take in?
Also, what do you do when you're home with DC on the weekend? Do you just breastfeed at each feeding, or do you still pump so that your hubby can give him a bottle?
This was my little one's first week at daycare in case you can't tell!
Re: XP: If you pump at work what DC takes to daycare the next day....
I used weekends to rotate the freezer stash like you said. I'd freeze what I pumped on Friday and grab the oldest bags out of the freezer for Monday.
I never pumped on the weekend. If I was with DD, I nursed her. The pump is just not as good as the baby, so I think nursing full time on the weekends really helped keep my supply up. My supply would dip a little over the course of the week and be up again by Monday.

I pump at work and DS takes it to day care the next day, so we usually have a day or so of milk left over on Fridays. ?We do use some of it to go out to eat or durring errands over the weekend, but I try to freeze it if I can. ?I also pump over the weekend though. (I can feed him and then pump from the other side.) ?Usually I have enough by Sunday for Mondays milk and only have to thaw a little, if any. ?I figure I will add to my freezer stash as long as I can. ?
?? We don't use a bottle unless at day care or out of the house for a while. I like to feed himself while I can since I miss it during the weekdays. ?
I freeze the last day of the week and thaw some for Monday, but I only started doing this as my freezer stash got close to 3 months old. If the fresh milk is 5 days old or less I will use it. I breastfeed exclusively on the weekends, unless I go out and someone else needs to feed her. And sometimes I need to pump in the morning on weekends for comfort purposes only and I add that to the freezer stash or use it for cereal.
