LGBT Parenting

Hi

Hi guys,

I'm new here so just thought I'd say hey and introduce myself. My partner is 9 + 6 pregnant after a miscarriage in Sept last year.  We're really excited and keeping everything crossed that this time all is ok.  We've had an early scan and seen and heard the heartbeat so things are looking promising! Got another scan booked for Thurs 17th so should be able to see much more then!

Just wondering if any non-bio mums had any advice at all for helping with the pregnancy and then for dealing afterwards!

I've got this book Confessions of the Other Mother: Non-Biological Lesbian Mothers Tell All which is pretty good but any others I should read?

Also anyone on here from the UK?

Thanks and hope you guys are all good :)

  • Congrats! My wife is the non bio and she really enjoyed What To Expect When Your Expecting... She said it helped her understand what I was going through and explained some of my odd behaviors.   :-)

Welcome & congrats!!  No books spring to mind right now though we have a ton (I'm just super tired right now).  Wishing you and your wife a healthy and happy 9 months.
  • Welcome.  My wife is reading "She Looks Just Like You" and said it's great.  I'm going to start it when she finishes.
