Kiss my a$$ - the toddler version

Anyone else's kid obsessed with boo boos and kisses for boo boos and bandaids and overall dramatics when it comes to hurting themselves?  Just my kid?  Ok then :)

This morning he woke up and said "Mumma, bum hurts.  Kiss peeze."  I'm like, you want me to kiss your butt?  I did and he smiled "Beddah mumma."  DH is like, did you seriously just kiss his butt because he told you he had a boo boo there?  You're such a sucker." :-p

  • C doesn't do that but it might be because we have never offered to kiss a boo boo better. I think its adorable though.

  • Lol. That's hilarious. DD likes to say her foot hurts then try to shove her little stinky sweaty feet in your mouth. I swear I have no idea how her feet smell that bad. I blame the fleece footie pajamas.

Yes but I'm totally guilty of putting this idea in my DD's head. I learned a quick way of interrupting the dramatic crying is suggesting we put a Tinker Bell band aid on the boo boo w/ a kiss. Works every time.

Broken arm-put a band aid on it! j/k

  • Lol, you butt kisser! DS will do this sometimes when he falls on his hands (we have wood floors) so I have to kiss them before he can play again.
  • I love this and I would also bend right down and put my lips to my DS's cute, little, boo-boo-ed (covered) butt.
  • That it hilarious! And so cute!

  • Not really, but if I hurt myself and ask her to kiss it better she does. She is plenty dramatic though.

  • He does get all dramatic about it "Ouch Ouch...sssssss  Ouch"  then you have to look at it and declare it the saddest cut you've ever seen.  Or else he won't be satisfied.

  • No, but my 4 year old does this.  We go through a box of band aids every couple of weeks.  Abby hasn't gotten into this stage yet.  She is still a baby.
  • DS hasn't asked me to kiss his butt yet.  Anytime he hurts his arm, hands or fingers he reaches out for me to kiss it better.  I think it's adorable.

Your butt story made me giggle.  And if I was in the same situation, I would have done it also!

  • My DD understands the idea, but doesn't use it exactly right. She seems to have a pretty high pain tolerance and doesn't get upset when she gets bumps and pinches for the most part. But, when we are cuddling or she wants attention she will say "owie mama" and hold up her hands for me to kiss.
