Yes this is my third baby but I've never been this big. Im wondering if the baby is too big to really move around. I have not felt movement like normal.
How long has it been since the last time you felt movement? If you haven't felt any type of movement or squirming or anything for over a day I would maybe call your doctor, just to be on the safe side. I don't really know because I'm only 33 weeks along but I personally would call my doctor if I didn't feel any type of movement for a day.
You should still be feeling regular movement - if you have noticed a big change from what you are used to feeling, I would call the doctor. Better to be safe! You can also try eating/drinking something sugary and then laying down and concentrating on baby's movement to see if you notice him/her move.
I am 37 weeks with my 3rd and huge also. Baby still moves around, but not like she was doing at say 28-33 weeks. Before you could feel a lot of kicks punches etc. Now I feel her shift positions (feel like a lot of pressure in belly) and I can feel when she moves her legs, arms. I also notice hiccups a lot now too. Sometimes I don't feel a lot of actually movements, but again I feel the pressure of her settling into a new spot. Hope this helps. If you haven't felt anything in a while though you might want to call your doctor.
I was just talking to my OB about this at my appointment last night. I assumed it was normal to feel decreased movement since she is getting bigger and doesnt' have as much room to move around. My little one is pretty laid back and doesn't move much anyway. He said that decreased movement is something they take very seriously and I need to be paying attention to it. I did some Googling when I got home and saw several websites say that if you go 4 hours without feeling movement, then you should call your doctor.

My OB tells me to drink a large glass of ice water or whatever drink usually works to get the baby to move then lay down for 30min to 1 hr. If still no movements I am to call them. The movements change as the baby gets bigger but you should still feel him/her.
There was one time I went to L&D with ds2 for lack of movement and hte nurse yelled at me for waiting 4 hours to come in. She said they are there to make sure the baby is okay and going 4 hours and not being able to get baby to move was to long.
Glad you called your doctor and that you are going in to be seen. It's always best to be on the safe side. I know that even at 34 weeks I may not feel kicks exactly, but he is definitely moving and wiggling still, very active at night and in the morning. If I don't feel a lot of movement I get worried, but even if he has a lazy (which always scare me) he is normally even more active the next day lol

I am a little farther along then you.. but this baby has not calmed down at all.. I think she is going to come out with her Black Belt because she is praticing all of her Ninja moves.. ALL THE TIME!
But my OB said it is normal if they start to slow down some.. I just have not experienced that.... He also said if I have any doubts drink a glass of COLD water, eat something and then lay on your left side.. you should always get 10 kicks in 1 hour after eating and drinking..
Not really. My LO has never slowed down. The movements become more subtle, but they don't decrease and they should definitely not stop. At any point if you notice decreased movement you should call your doctor so you can be monitored.
Edit: Glad to see you called the doctor! Let us know how it goes.

It's never normal to not feel movement. I'd call the dr.
