Success after IF

I can't believe how close I am getting to having 2u2! And name suggestions :)

Only 5 1/2 weeks until due date but the Dr does not want me to go past 39 weeks due to quick on set Pre-E and postpartum Pre-E last time.  I also am measuring 2 1/2 weeks behind so next week I have a growth u/s.  So that means in one month from tomorrow or less we will have 2 kids under 18 months.

I did a target run today and got the last of the things we need.  Now I just need to pack our hospital bags and I would really like to find a summer robe for me.  The nursery should be done by Friday.   I will have to take pics and post because it is looking pretty cute if I do say so.

Now if only we could pick a name!  Any suggestions?  I like names that end in A and we don't want a name that starts with and A or a B.  Here is our short list but we need more ideas and middle names.  I want a short middle name since our last name is 9 letters longs!

Lydia- My favorite

Greta

Sofia

Mara - DH favorite

(Since the board is so slow I thought I would just give a little update on us :)

  • I like Sofia and Lydia best. Enjoy your last few weeks! 2U2 is a lot crazier than I expected Stick out tongue but so much fun!
  • Isn't it great when you love how the nursery is turning out?

FWIW my favorite in your list is Sofia.  Could be because we know a couple of completely darling Sofia/Sofie's

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • ::lurking::  I love Mara.  (though I always spelled it Maura in my heard)  I am not sure if that ends up with the same pronunciation.

GL with 2 under 2!  You will do awesome :)

You can't go wrong with that list.   They are all great.  I personally would shy away from Sofia just because it's so dang popular.   But it's a gorgeous name too.

This.  I love Sofia/Sophia and would totally use it if it weren't so popular.  I could only come up with 2 girl names when I was pregnant:  Lucy and Emerson (nn Emmie).  Lucy is still on my list for a (hopefully) future daughter!

Middle names to go with your list:

    Claire, Rose, Anne, Grace

  • 2U2 is hard but a lot of fun too!!! Now that I am a year into it, things are much easier and the kids LOVE eachother...I vote for Lydia (because it's my daughters name) and she is just the cutest little thing Wink do you have a middle name?

  • Can you combine two of your picks?  I think Lydia Mara is nice.  I've been considering using Maren as a name if this baby turns out to be a little girl.

It's amazing how quickly the time passes isn't it?

Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12

Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck.  Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.

  • Sofia and Mara are my faves from your list - I think they sound the best w/ Audrina.
  • Awww, I remember that feeling! It's so exciting and scary at the same time. Good luck and welcome to 2U2, it really does go by so fast! I like Greta, but I think Lydia goes really well with Audriana!
