My dh and I already have a 5 and 3 yr old but are very excited to add a third little munchkin to our family.  I am a little nervous about being in the Advanced Maternal Age category this time but will just take it one step at a time.  I do have a beginner question if you don't all mind me asking.  I stopped bcp mid pack and started my period on may second.  That is cd1 correct?  In a perfect world I would ovulate around cd12-14 right?  I never charted or anything with my first to go I am just trying to get a basic idea right now.  Thanks for your help.

Re: Intro:)
Totally agree, best advice we can give you. It makes things a lot easier, takes the 2nd, okay maybe 3rd guessing out of the equation. After a few months you know have a good idea of what your 'normal' is. And God forbid you have any difficulties and find you want to seek assistance, you will have a very firm understanding of your cycle particulars and the data to back it up.
Good luck with everything. Fingers Crossed for you.

I know EXACTLY what you mean! It was one of the reasons I was hesitant (ok lets be honest TOTALLY AGAINST) charting. It is a LOT of information that at first makes NO sense..but I kind of understand it now so I am sure you will pick it up quickly. And this group is full of knowledge so if a question comes up just ask and one of us will know the answer.
Welcome to the board!
FF can be overwhelming but once you get the hang of it it's easy! I have been doing it for 7 months now and I'm a pro:). Hopefully you won't have to use it that long!
Good Luck!
Welcome to the board!
I agree w/ pps-- charting was a huge eye opener and I'm glad I started fairly early. FF has a great tutorial with lessons once a day that are really easy to follow. I saved each emailed lesson so I could go back and refer to them as needed.
I'm a nurse and I never knew certain things about how my own body worked that I learned only through the charting process. It's scary how much we don't get taught!
Good luck! I hope your stay is short!

Welcome!
I'm new here too and I can't advocate charting enough. I only started on my second cycle and in retrospect, that first month seemed like a waste as my timing, etc was totally off.
It's actually not that hard at all - once you sign up with FF there is a tutorial and while it feels daunting at first - once you look at it, it's really pretty easy.
