I couldn't be a mom without...

My smartphone! Seriously, how did moms breastfeed before smartphones? What can you not live without?

  • I was thinking the same thing before I opened this post.
  • Loading the player...
  • My husband... for so many reasons (especially the obvious).

    Oh yes, DH too.

Heck I share a prepaid cheapie phone that we got when DS was born. It isn't because we can't afford the plan, it is because we don't want to be accessible 24/7 and DH hates commitments and contracts.

I couldn't be a mom without my kids. I love them dearly.

Sorry no paragraphs, bumping from my phone.

This.  I have an abundance of admiration for you single moms out there.  I don't know that I would enjoy being a Mom as much if I didn't have the extra pair of hands, shoulder to lean on, and a voice of reason when every little thing worries or freaks me out.

  • ITA with the smart phone. Also my nook. I would also like to add netflix. I'm watching HIMYM on netflix when there is nothing on at 3am and I'm too tired to read anything.

Yes! Single moms are amazing. DH will be gone for a week next month and I'm going to miss him so much. (Also my iPod Touch. Without it I wouldn't be posting this.)
  • Smartphone, DVR for late night feedings, and DH keeping me sane by bring so helpful with DS.

  • I've breastfed for two weeks without my smartphone. What app do you use that helps so much?

My boppy is probably the only physical object that's helped me so far. Netflix, too.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing last night. There is no way sitting in the dark and breast feeding several times a night would work without me falling asleep and falling over or dropping DS. It is hard enough to stay awake with the phone.

  • yes, my blackberry- i get on the bump during feedings. it takes my mind off it and stops me from watching the clock ...

also agree with the single mom thing- dont know how they do it! i am dreading hubby going back to work. even do i do almost everything since he cant feed her, its nice to hand her off for a diaper change or be able to take a nap ...

also love the boppy, and my lanolin lotion!

    oh and coffee, and chocolate..

  • -my DH for both the obvious reason and for all his help, love, and support

-my iPhone with the Baby Connect application

-my TV and DVR for keeping me entertained during the late night nursing sessions

    -Swaddlesacks

-my Chicco KeyFit caddy so I can take baby from car to stroller without waking her up. It makes supping and getting out of the house so much easier!
