Hi!
I'm new to these boards, but really enjoyed my online community when I was pg with my dd nine years ago. Wow. Nine is a long time. :-)
Now I'm back and TTC #2 with my partner. I'm carrying the baby and we are just so amazingly excited. I wanted another baby for so long and now it could really happen.
We are using a known donor and it is so intersting to get started on the road to conception with donor calls, a visit to the reproductive doctor and all, but I feel so positve.
Just got my period today so heading off for blood draws and HSG (I think) on Monday. A little later they are doing a saline hystrosomethingorother. Our doc has recommended IUI and Clomid.
Thanks for taking the time to read my introduction!

Re: New to these boards...
AMH 0.5, AFC 5-8, FSH 7ish
IVF #1 - antagonist. Empty follicle syndrome. 1 retrieved, 0 fertilized.
IVF #2 - antagonist. Ovulated early. 3 retrieved, 2 fertilized, 0 blasts
This, definitely!
I'm curious why your doc is using Clomid right from the start. Do you have a history of infertility or annovulation?
No, no history of infertility. I am also curious. She recommended it and so there we are. I have not started it, so the option is open; perhaps she just takes it all the way to the finish line from the beginning?

Have you had a conversation with your dr about why she recommends Clomid? Personally I wouldn't take any drug without knowing exactly why it is being prescribed. If you ovulate and do not have a history of infertility, you don't need to be on it...and if you are concerned about the increased risk of multiples (as I am, frankly), perhaps it would make sense to try a few unmedicated cycles first? Obviously I'm not a doctor and I don't know your age or what your blood work showed but don't forget that you're the one who calls the shots here -- it's your body and your children!
