S/O movement...Who isn't positive they've felt movement yet ?

I have days where I "think" it's baby but I'm ready to know 100% that it's the baby I'm feeling! I want to experience this rolling, outside movement and great feeling everyone else is talking so much about Crying Who else isn't so sure or knows for sure they haven't felt anything ?

  • You'll get there.  I know for me when at first I wasn't sure, I thought to myself "was I feeling this 4 weeks ago?" and the answer was no.  At first you discount it as gas, but then you know how gas has felt during this pregnancy right, and if it doesn't feel like that then it's baby.

At first it felt like the bubbling sensation you get when you have loose bowels and your stomach gargles and such.

  • Oh, and I felt it really low at first.  Right above the pelvic bone, inches below the belly button.  I didn't start feeling it higher until yesterday.

  • I haven't felt anything yet, but at my appointment last week, the doc said that was normal.  He said I should start feeling something once I hit 20 weeks or so.  I'm 20 weeks today, so we shall see.  I'm rather surprised that I haven't felt her yet since she is always moving when we get our u/s done or when the doc is checking the doppler for heartbeats.
  • I don't know if I've felt the baby.  The only thing Iget are little "pinchy" feelings in the evenings.  Crying

  • I feel ya!  I JUST started noticing the difference last week.  I was always wondering when the butterfly flutters and popcorn popping was going to occur, but for me it is just like a muscle twitching.  The reason I know it is baby is because the "twitch" is so much lower than any gas bubbles or digestion I have ever experienced.  It was last Sunday when I first was thinking it was my baby and not gas, and ever since I have felt him a little bit every day.  The movements are so subtle so they usually only occur when I am very still.  I bet it will be any day for you now :)

Also, the first day I noticed the difference I was lying on my stomach reading a book, but with one of my legs bent way up for comfort (like a dog peeing or something haha).  I think laying on my stomach helped me feel movement and notice what it feels like.

  • I know how you feel too and I'm further out then you. I have a frontal placenta and my doctor said it would be harder to feel her move. I feel it ever so often, but sometimes I wonder if it's real even her. My doctor said it might even be into to 3rd trimester before I get any outside movement.
  • I am a STM so you'd think I would have those "for sure" feelings.  I know I've felt flutters, but definitely not any significant kicking.  I wish for the life of me that I would have recorded when I first felt DD!!!  I do remember as soon as I started feeling kicks from her though, it was like BAM...she's kicking me, I never evewn felt flutters before it happened.  They will come soon, don't worry!

I have an anterior placenta too. I just started feeling a slight movement in the past two days typically at night when laying on my side. It's so weird. I thought at first it was gas bubbles since it was so low (almost at my panty line) but it's happened a few more times and been alittle stronger. I was beginning to think it would never happen. I can't wait to feel it more often and from the outside so DH can feel it. Hang in there, it will happen.

  • There has been times I thought I felt something, but I really do not think I have yet.  I worry so much about it but on Friday I go for my a/s and I hope everything is fine with the baby and we can find out the sex, at other ultrasounds the baby moves a lot, so I wonder why I haven't felt it yet. I'm so anxious!!

  • I don't *think* I have felt this baby girl yet...but who knows?! Because of where my placenta is, the doctor said last Monday that it would still probably be a few weeks...but I'm impatient and want to feel her now Crying. At least then, I will know daily that things are okay.
