And please feel free not to answer this if it's too personal (although I think you ladies know more about me than I would ever tell anyone else).
How much does the IVF procedure cost you-- not including meds? I'm talking
There's a place that has offices in northern Massachusetts and New Hampshire that would be reachable for me without having to stay overnight anywhere and they have quoted $6800 for all that stuff listed above.
Previously, I had been told by my doc and some others that I was looking at $10,000 for IVF (no ICSI).
Before I go thinking what a great deal this is and that I *might* just be able to afford this and getting my hopes up, I wanted to get an idea of what this has been running people...
Re: Question for the IVF veterans
Wow-- meds cost $1000? That bites. Even using the lower number because I get all my meds from the hospital pharmacy, that adds a chunk. This clinic's low cost is because of a program-- I'm not sure if you have to apply for it or they're just realizing that the job market up here BITES and they need to accommodate people's decreased income. They have a guarantee actually-- if you require more than 2 cycles, the 3rd is free.
I'll definitely be checking the SART data, though. And, as always, I'm going to find some other nurses or docs who are familiar with this clinic.
So much to think about...

Hey there,
My first two were covered by insurance and my second one had no transfer so the price wouldn't really be helpful to you. But I wanted to chime in on the place I "think" you are looking at. Based on the price, I "think" it is Fer.t So.lutions? If so, they are awesome! I love them. I used to go there but had to leave for insurance reasons but they still do my out of town monitoring (I see an RE out of state that specializes in POF). Anyway, I highly recommend them if that is who you are looking at. I did want to point out though that I believe you have to go to De.dham, MA for the actual ER/ET and factor in hotel costs even if they have monitoring places further north. If this is not the place you were talking about, I still may have some info on where you are looking if you want to PM me.
As for drugs: it depends on your situation and how to stim you. I was given the max dose for IVF1& 2 and my drugs were over $10K each time. It was crazy (thankfully I didn't have to pay). I believe the typical cost of drugs is about $3K. $1K would be very cheap.
There is an OOP meds donation check in on IF that you might be able to get some donated stuff on.

Total IVF Package: $13815 (with ICSI)
Other: Anesthesia: $550, Cryopreservation (if you have frosties): $1250, FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer): $1300
My meds total was around $3000, I paid $950 for my portion, insurance covered the rest. For the IVF Package, I paid $9100. So total OOP for me was roughly $10K
My ultrasounds and beta draws were covered by insurance, so I would pay my $50 copay. My RE is located 15 min from work and have early morning monitoring, so they are very convenient for me, I only missed 1 day of work (day of retrieval) that I took a vacation day for. My ET just happened to fall on Good Friday so I was lucky that I didn't have to take off for it, but if I did that would be another vacation day I would need to take (and possibly day after depending on your clinic's recommendation).

My IVF was $10,400 which included the RE's fee and all monitoring and lab work leading up to ER, the hospital fee and anesthesiologist, the embryologist, transfer and cryopreservation of any remaining embryos for 1 year. Pretty much everything.
My Meds would have been about $3k, but I had some wonderful donations.
I have crappy private insurance that does not cover prenatal care so after IVF, I pay about $125 each blood test and $375 each ultrasound. For most women, this will be covered as standard OB care under their insurance.
Well, i'm in the Seattle, WA area (take that into consideration, the charge varies greatly based on clinic / location / demographic area of the country).
Round 1 IVF with ICSI = 16,400$ Meds were 4500$
Round 2 IVF with ICSI =16,400$ Meds are higher this round roughly 5500$ so far.
My clinic did offer me the Attain IVF w/ICSI 2 Fresh / 2 Frozen package for 22K. We decided with the price tag of 16,400 for each round with ICSI, the package makes sense. It is not a refund package..so if this round works we are out the total 22,400. (and that does not include meds). BUT..If we paid 22K and have a take home baby in 10 months...it's the best 22K we have ever spent
.
We are all OOP as well..

SAIFW/PAIFW
That sounds like a terrific deal.
We paid $9800 for the IVF (monitoring, bloodwork, ER, culture, ET and would have included freezing for 6 months if there were any embryos to freeze)
Assisted hatching was $600 (used for 3 day transfers when the women is 35 or older)
ICSI was 1900.
Meds were $4500 for 11 days of high stims (225-300 follistim/150 menopur) plus misc. drugs. I think that was actually low because we go to a large clinic with mostly OOP patients and they have negotiated lower prices with Walgreen specialty pharmacy. From internet prices, it could have been more like $6000.
Most pharmacies do not carry these drugs.
So, $17000 total for the cycle.
My IVF cycle was 11,000 prior or paying for ICSI. My meds were about $3000.00 and that was all out of pocket cost.
