My 10 month old has always been into gagging herself, but it's taken on a new level lately. When she's upset (like in the carseat, fed, and we have to go somewhere), she'll start gagging herself to the point of vomiting. She did it probably 50 times today and by the time we got her out of her seat, she was covered in saliva and vomit. Should I try to stop it? Is this normal? DH thinks we should try to distract her in some other way so that she doesn't do it.
Re: 10 month gagging/vomiting
I think DS was a little older when he started doing this. My pedi said it was normal and if it got a reaction then he would keep doing it. So we started ignoring him instead of jumping up to stop him and he stopped eventually. Not sure what you have tried or not, but maybe this will help?
