Re-post from Sept 2012:
First off, we found out Saturday that we're having a boy, so yay for that!
I had bedding picked out and everything, and when I went to go show my husband yesterday, I realized it was discontinued . Here's what I originally wanted from Target:
I tried to find an alternative, but I can't seem to find anything else I like! So, I wanted to see what everyone else is getting. My only stipulations: the baby's room is kind of a honeydew green and I don't intend on repainting, and the crib and furniture that we're reusing from my daughter is white and dark brown and very modern. Also, not a requirement, but the possibility to buy the pieces seperately would be nice since we're not using a bumper. Any links or pictures you might suggest would be very helpful! Thanks!
Re: RP: Rec your baby boy bedding
This is the bed set we went with... monkey theme. We are doing all walls a tan color, except one wall will have chocolate, tan, and blue stripes. It's starting to look really cute! You should look at Baby Super Mall.
We originally wanted to do Superman, but I will save that for when he is older. We are doing this theme:
My precious angel Ryan Caleb passed away to his heavenly home a few short hours after birth due to hydrops 7.5.2012 @ 30 weeks.
I'm getting this crib sheet from Target but not the whole set.

I'm planning to paint the walls a light grey but the bedding has green in it so it would probably work with your already green room. I'm planning to decorate with some modern prints in those colors. Maybe something from here: https://www.avintageposter.com/
or here

And do a colorful mobile and diaper changer cover, stuff like that to bring color in.
This is what we went with. The room was already a light green (I think the color is called Spring Green from Glidden) so we were looking for something that would go with it. There is a little bit of green on the quilt and on the crib sheet. I had picked out an alligator/plaid print from Pottery Barn, but we walked into Babies R Us, saw this on clearance and decided we liked it. It comes with lots of coordinating pieces, but we didn't get all of them because I don't like to be all matchy-matchy. Since we wanted to have more than one crib sheet, we picked out some at Target that look very similar and have the same safari/jungle theme going on. Our furniture is a very dark cherry finish and this pale blue looks great with it.
This is the set I bought from Pottery Barn. I didn't get the alligator sheets but opted to buy the sheets with stars instead. I liked that I can use many different colors in the nursery and themes and be able to tie back into the bedding. Each piece can be purchased separately. It is the Madras collection.
got this too but with the alligator madras blanket,,,love it!
