I went into labor on Wednesday evening around 6:30 after a long walk with dd#1. Lost a large blood tinged mucus plug and the contractions began on their own shortly after. I had semi regular contractions anywhere for 4 to 10 min apart all night at around 330 am on Thursday I turned over in bed to get a little more comfortable and heard a pop and a gush. I woke up Dh and told him that my water had broke. We labored at home until 7:30 when my parents came to watch the other children. Got to hospital around 8 am and was admitted at 3 cm because of ruptured water. At 12 my labor had stalled so we hooked up pitocin and got epidural at 2 pm. I was a 5 and not moving fast. Emma started to have heart decelarationts a d they were having me turn over from side to side to try and help. I was checked at 5 pm and was a 6. They were starting to worry about her and said if it didn't get better it was off to c section for us. They tried one last position hands and knees. Which is nearly impossible with an epidural in place. My husband had to pick me up and turn me over. I was up on all 4 and her heart rate plummeted the doc walked in and was turning me back over to get me to surgery and my baby girl made her surprise entrance right then. The soc caught her bear handed. We weren't able to get pics because we werent ready for her. I went from a 6 to a 10 in 34 seconds and died t push at all. Soooo crazy. Emma Rae bborn at 5:33 pm may 3 2012. 5 lbs 6 ounces 18 inches long. And PERFECT
