Stupid question about the FB group

Ok, forgive me.... I am not very tech-savvy...

 

So, if you get added to the FB group, you see what everyone posts to the group, but you don't get to see their whole pages and they don't get to see yours?

 

Because if that's the case it makes it a whole lot more palatable and I think I may want in... If you'll have me.

 

Im just weirded out about the idea of so many people I don't know in real life seeing every aspect of my life... Not that it is very interesting  ha ha

    Yep. You can see their posts in the group and vise versa, but nothing else unless you are FB  friends with them.(unless you have your FB settings set to public) 
    A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
    After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
    My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

    Correct.  If you and I aren't FB friends, but we are both members of the SAIF FB Private Group, I won't be able to see your page if it isn't public and you won't be able to see mine except for what I make public.  I wasn't even able to send a FB message to another member without requesting them as a friend first.

    Definitely!  I don't know of any groups where that's the case, but it may be true for some?  (There are so many options!  I imagine that's an option that individuals have though, not groups on behalf of individuals. :))  With SaIF and the others I've been on, you can click on people's names and see only what they have public, such as profile pic, etc. :)

    Hmmm.. That makes it more appealing. How do you get "in"?

    TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

    Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

     I'd love to join too. I have mostly been an active lurker, but I miss all the support from this group, even if it was mostly from reading posts.

    Hystroscopy to remove cysts 11/2010
    IVF #1 with ICSI Graydon Dane born Oct. 23, 2011 via c-section at 38 weeks.
    Surprise BFP 10/9/12. Blighted ovum at 8wks. D&C 11/1/12.
    Surprise BFP#2 TWINS!!! Boy/Girl twins.
