Mini Cribs and Sleeping Options for Small Spaces

I am in kind of a predicament.

I am living with my fiance and in laws till next fall when baby will be 1.

There is limited space here. We are in a 3 bedroom condo. The problem is my in laws are not getting rid of the recently bought full extra long mattress and plan to put it/ keep it in the "baby's room"

This room is approx. 10X10

I originally wanted to have a bassinet in my bedroom for the first few months then move baby to the crib in her room however I dont think a regular crib will fit plus a full bed...

What do I do here in terms of space? I want my baby to be safe and comfortable...

Are mini cribs good? If they only last a year wont that be a waste of money? What do I do after the baby is too big for the mini crib?

I am so lost here. Help.

    I have no experience with mini cribs but I'm sure they have to meet the same standards. You can try Ikea. They have cribs and their whole philosophy is stylish/space saving stuff.

    We have a DaVinci mini crib. It is the standard size in Europe, so it's not that mini. Our 17 mo sleeps in it happily with plenty of space still to grow. It is not one of the "portable" cribs that collapses, so is as sturdy as a regular size.

    To clarify, a mini crib is not the same size as a mini co-sleeper. A mini crib is about the same size as a pnp, and a mini cosleeper is the same size as a bassinet (and not suitable for use after 6 mos). You could get a pnp with the bassinet, but the mattress on that isn't great long-term.
