I'm not due until the 19th, but at yesterday's check-up I was 70% effaced and 2cm dilated and twice when I've gone to bathroom today I noticed what looked like a glob of white snot (mucus plug???) in the toilet. I feel like a ticking time bomb! Any ideas how soon it could happen?

I'm going to be honest...today, tomorrow, next week, three weeks from now...there's no way to tell. I'm sorry. It's really depressing. I know. I've been there with my first, and it looks like this little guy will be the same. Try to look at the changes your body is going through as less it has to do when you're in labor instead of when things will occur. It's really hard not to get excited. My fingers are crossed that it is a sign for you...but, try not to get too excited. It really makes time drag.

Honestly I would be fine if didn't happen just yet. My SIL has been saying for months that I'll go into labor with the full moon this weekend and I'd never hear the end of it if she was right!

You'll have your baby some time between now and 41 weeks. It's impossible to know unfortunately none of the signs mean much.

lol sorry I have to laugh. I'm also due the 19th. I was 2cm 70% effaced for 2 weeks. Now at a 3 - still 70%. Lost my MP 2 weeks ago. And I'm still here ticking away.

Also, got a pedicure yesterday .. and have been having FI rub every single pressure point on my bod and sex. Went for a walk today that came close to mountain climbing.

I've had breath taking, life altering, contractions for days. Been up for nights at a time with diarrhea (sorry TMI).

Nothing.

So, while it can still happen tonight for you -- don't get your hopes up. I've learned from DD#1 that numbers mean nothing lol They're just letting you know that your body is getting itself prepared.

Yeah, I've also been 2cm & 60% effaced for about 2 weeks, plus near constant menstrual-like cramping, intense back pain, and spurts of very regular contractions for 10 days. I also was excited that it seemed like we were close to the finish line but....apparently this baby is just taunting me.
