So I'm putting away some baby stuff since LO is almost 1.
We have Dr Brown's bottles. Can these be re-used for another baby, just with new nipples? I would assume that I'd need to buy all new pump accessories - tubing, breast shields, etc? What about little baby spoons- the kind with the metal handles and the covered ends?
Re: what can I keep?
We kept everything we had with DS. We bought brand new nipples for DD, pacifiers, I was given a new nipple shield at the hospital. I specifically asked the LC about all the pump things (I rented the hospital pump for 9 months with DS and bought one this time around). She said I could keep all the pump parts but replace the membranes since those wear out anyway. I still have the other tubing, that I used with DS, but I'm using the tubing that came with my pump. I also used the hospital pump while I was admitted so I have the tubing and all the extra parts from that. She said we could just slice off the end that gets plugged into the Symphony to attached it to my PISA.
We kept all the utenils also.
We do sterilize everything that DD puts in her mouth so we don't think it's that big of a deal.
I once had a picture until the trolls showed up.

I got new nipples and pacifiers for DD, but kept the same bottles. I also got new pump parts, but I am not sure I really needed to.
As for the spoons, forks, sippy cups, etc - my 2 keep on using them. To me, they are like our spoons and cups - they go in the dishwasher, and are clean to use by someone else. Occasionally they "share" their food and drinks, though, so they are not even clean while they are eating off of the same spoon or drinking from the same straw. Oh well, that is what siblings do, right?
I am thankful every day for my miracle after infertility.
And thrilled to be pregnant again after FET!
I kept the bottles and rings, but got new nipples.
I had a single pump the first time, but a friend loaned me her double pump the second time so I ended up getting new pump parts, otherwise I would have reused them.
I only had 4 pacifiers and DS1 hardly ever used them so I kept them and used them for DS2, but he hardly took them either. Both end up using me as the pacifier instead.
I tossed the spoons that had tears in the rubber tip from being chewed on too much and kept the good ones.
Most of the sippy cups were chewed up so I tossed them, but I kept the nuki ones thinking I could just replace the spouts. In the end though they don't make that version anymore and the new version I can't find replacement spouts for anyway. Very frustrating.
I tossed the lids to the take n toss sippy cups, but kept the cup part. I find these are good to have around when other people's kids come over. Not all my friends' kids are trustworthy with glass, especially if we are eating outside.
