So in light of Mother's Day just around the corner I informed my husband that I would like no mention of this day by way of gifts or a card. Just not been a good year and I'm sure all you girls w/o children can understand where I'm coming from. Just another reminder of our current childless status. I do have a 14 year old step daughter and he will normally do something small on her behalf. I was blown away by his response. My beloved said this year above all else he will recognize Mother's Day given the rough year we had w/ the failed IVF. He said that I at least deserved a card and a bottle of wine or two...that I will take. I love him so and I think I will keep him.
On a serious note...I really am not looking forward to Mother's Day. Can't believe this will be my 3rd Mother's Day and I'm still no closer to being a mother myself. Ugh!
Re: My darling husband
Kudos and bravo to the hubby! Well done!
Enjoy the wine-- you definitely deserve it.

Mother's day is really hard for those of us that don't have children. This will be mother's day #12 for me. If my IVF did not work out, I plan on locking myself in the house and not coming out until Monday. I told DH that if it did work, he really needs to make up for all of the mother's days that I spent crying. I need flowers, dinner, jewlery, and perhaps a ticker tape parade.
You are so lucky to have a very sweet and considerate DH.
How is everyone else planning on coping with mother's day?
My parents and brother are coming in town. We'll probably have everyone and my in laws over for a big brunch. We did that last year and the moms really liked it.
This is my third Mother's Day since TTC. My beta is scheduled for the day after Mother's Day which means I usually do a HPT the day before - Mother's Day. It will either be the best or worst Mother's Day ever. There is unfortunately no middle ground on it.
  I'm dreading this.
This! It's also my third Mother's Day TTC. I have my beta on Monday & am so worried how I will take it if it's negative. I'm tired of being disappointed month after month!
