I had an u/s yesterday (27 weeks) and it looked like the baby had a huge overbite. I know this sounds like a crazy concern but I keep thinking about it. I'm only concerned that it might be an indication that something is wrong- not cosmetically. The tech didn't say much and I didn't see the doctor and I don't have another appt until Friday- when I'll ask the doc about it. Yesterday was just to measure the baby (b/c I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead) and everytime I asked the tech if everything was ok and she just kept saying that she was only measuring the baby's size and not checking if everything was ok. I know that u/s images are not the best quality but this looked very obvious to me.
So, has anyone else had this experience? I'm a ftm so I don't know if this is normal or not. .
Re: Overbite?
not to worry. My baby looks the same (as did my son at his 2nd trimester ultrasound)... baby is still developing. Looks more like a turtle face right now.
all is okay.
Thank you for calming my crazy fears! and yes- he has turned from an alien into a turtle
And it's still the cutest turtle I've ever seen!
yep, the evolution seems to go like this :
dot - blob - gummy bear - alien - turtle - adorable little perfect baby.
