Bed sharing = achy back

My lower back is killing me! We side nurse to sleep and usually after her initial wake up she stays latched on. This requires me to be on my side constantly. I have a pillow in between my legs and one propped against my back but I still wake up with an achy back a majority of the time. Any other tips or tricks? Maybe a new bed?

Re: Bed sharing = achy back

  • No advice really but I can commiserate. This is why we only bedshare part-time, usually from his night waking around 4-5am to daytime waking. The rest of the night he's in his crib in our room. My back just can't take more than a few hours of bedsharing. Occasionally I can unlatch him and move, but he's back looking to latch again w/in 1/2hr.

I could try splitting it up...hmmm. Same here on the being able to latch off once in awhile. Thanks!

I sleep with a pillow supporting my back and one between my knees and it's minimized the back pain.  Though I've recently discovered my boobs are big enough for me to side nurse while laying flat on my back so that helps too.  For once there's a benefit to size Z boobs!
Well, the ladies have gotten a bit bigger but I can't say Z size. :) Hope they don't give you back pain while standing!

This is what I do as well.
