Parenting after 35

Just wanted to say Hi :)

I've been gone for a bit - from posting but I've been lurking like a total stalker/creeper.  I rarely get on my home desktop PC and am usually working on a iPad and it is a serious PITA to post on TB from that device.

Anyway, I just wanted to touch base, tell you that we are all doing well and I made a HUGE decision - I'm going to be a SAHM.  I've been transitioning out of my position and will be done by the end of the month.  It's completely crazy and I'm a little scared and intimidated by the thought of being home full time.  What if I'm terrible at it?  What if I hate it?  I will be working part time at a small business that my H and I are minority owners in but I can do that from home and/or take babyCheeze with me.

Seriously, though, I didn't mean this post to be all about me - how are you guys doing?

  • Hey Cheeze.  That IS a huge decision.  Good luck with it.  I'm sure you'll be great at being a SAHM.  :)

  • Hey Cheeze! I have loved every bit of being home with my LO, but I did start a part-time job recently, mainly for more adult convo (mommy and me time at Gymboree  and the library wasn't cutting it anymore).

I don't know how long you've worked, for me 23 years in the corporate world. I would strongly advise you stick to any goals/dreams that you have.  Being a seasoned mom with grown children, I've learned that we as moms don't and shouldn't sacrifice our goals, we can do both with planning and balance.

Enjoy and try not to worry; your a woman, we're made for this.
