Really dumb FTM question...

I think they whole pregnancy calendar has me confused or something.

DD will be 4 weeks tomorrow,....I consider her one month old, correct?  I want/need to take her 1 month sticker/onesie picture, so I want to make sure I do it on the right day!

She was born 4/7, so even though tomorrow is 5/5, she will be 4 weeks so I'd consider her one month...or do we go by the date, 5/7?

ETA:  I'm also blaming this on sleep deprivation....

    I always went by the day of the month.  So your LO wouldn't be 1 month until 5/7.

    no, she'll be 4 weeks old.

    On 5/7 she'll be 1 mo ;)

    By date. Just like calculating pg... months don't have exactly 4 weeks. If you went by your logic she would turn 12 months/1 year before her actual birthday.

    DITTO! I felt so dumb trying to figure it out. Apparently MIL was just as confused... she texted me when LO was 4 weeks old and said "How is my ONE MONTH OLD grandson doing!?" even though he wasn't technically one month old for another 3 days!

    I go by the date, 13th, of each month for her monthly pics. Same goes for well child visits, ie. 2mo on 6/13, 4mo on or after 8/13, etc

    Yay, I feel so much better!  My pregnancy book counted 4 weeks as a month,....so technically it said we were pregnant for 10 months...but if you go by our actual calendar it is 9 months (some months have more days).  Sigh, so hard!

    Ditto everyone see, go by the actual date! It always bugs me when people use the 4 week method for pregnancy "months" too - it's just notvaccurate! Very confusing!
