Has anyone tried gripe water for their fussy baby? We already switched formulas and started using mylicon drops but we haven't noticed much relief. The pediatrician said we need to stick with formula for a week before trying something else. At this point I'm willing to try anything. For those that have tried gripe water do you use it before or after feeding?
Thanks!
Jessica
Re: Gripe water?
The Colic Calm (which is gripe water, very black gripe water) says giving a full dose after eating may cause spit up so I give it before. Spitting up black kind of stains everything. We've seen a big difference in overnight sleep recently, I don't know if it's the CC finally working or just because his system is maturing, before he grunted and strained all night and woke himself up.
Found this about Mommy's Bliss Gripe Water. See "How to Give it"

If you use Colic Calm gripe water, you shouldn't need to use the mylicon drops as well since Colic Calm helps with gas. (it also helps with reflux and teething, and of course, colic). I noticed that the Colic Calm worked WAY better than the drops too.
Here's an article on how it works with gas:

I found this article on Colic Calm's blog to be helpful on removing the stains--it works for me!

good point on the over night sleep. Since we started 2 nights ago she's slept a 5 hour stretch both nights! :cheers!:
