Sorry to be a downer...

but Biscuit is continuing to get worse.  They ran a bunch of tests on him today to see if they could figure out why he got so much worse again... we definitely did the right thing taking him back.  He has sepsis and severe inflammation in his gut and intestines.  He is losing white blood cells pretty quickly and losing a lot of protein from his blood.  This is what the vet said we were really hoping not to see when I first took him in.  They are going to start a blood transfusion and she said hopefully within 3-4 hours of that you would see improvement in his numbers... so now we just wait again.  Any positive thoughts or prayers you have for our little pup would be appreciated, I feel like I'm just running out of any optimism.

    it's okay, we are looking for updates on him, good or bad...

    Hopefully they can hit him with some more antibiotics and of course the blood transfusion.  Try to keep your hopes up, puppies can be strong little buggers!

    Oh I'm so sorry you are going through this. :(  Lots of T&Ps to little Biscuit.  My minpin Sola, was around 3 or 4 months old when she found and ate a bunch of rat poison.....yeah my ILs had bait blocks buried in their yard, basically tasty grain flavored poison that can kill an animal up to the size of a rabbit.  She was bleeding internally -- diagnosis was not good at all, and she made a miracle come back.  I'm hoping that you will have a story like that to tell too, a happy ending being the key here -- ((hugs))  ps: Sola is sending Biscuit lots of love too.

    Poor baby.  He's lucky he found you and has someone so wonderful taking care of him.  I hope he's ok.
