Double jogging stroller?

I was thinking about getting one of these instead of a single because I plan on having more children and when I walk with my friend she could put her baby in it too.  It seems easier than dealing with two strollers on the sidewalk at once.  I also would like to use it just for my baby when I am alone (I know not til 6 months).

Has anyone used a double jogging stroller without a second child in the seat? How does it handle?  Advice?

Re: Double jogging stroller?

  • I have a bob stroller strides dually and LOVE it. It's expensive but just as my single, drives like a dream, turns on a dime etc. I often use it with just my smallest dd (2 mo. old) and it handles just fine. Also, you can get a car seat attachment and can jog earlier than 6 mo.- this was ok'd by our pedi. I'm just sure to use it on smooth paved and flat surfaces.

  • Have you looked into a Phil and Ted? It is an inline stroller so it isn't double wide. I used to have one and jogged with it with both kids in it, but I finally upgraded to a bob duallie since I was starting to run more. If you aren't doing hardcore running, than a Phil and Ted sounds like it would be great for you. When you don't have two kids in, you just remove the jump seat and it is a single stroller.
