I am having a RCS in one week. Last time I took 100 mg of colase daily for a week prior to my section. It was the best decision ever!!! I pooped the day after my surgery with no pain or issues at all. Just an FYI for you other ladies out there.
I really wish I had have know this. I didn't poop for 10 days!!!!!! It was aweful aweful aweful. I ended up with an enima and major stool softeners. I was on a double dose of iron (instead of a blood transfusion) and percocet. Hello rock poop!
Wish I would have known and did that. I forgot to take them once I got home and MAN....THAT WAS A TOTAL MISTAKE!!!!! Never, ever will I forget again! Ouch!
PPD/PPA Mom...it has been super hard, but I'm making it! Slow steps... Mom to Carter (6), and Calianne (1). Proud VBAC, natural birth, breastfeeding, cloth diapering momma!

I learned my lesson last time. this time, the bottle was waiting for me next to my motrin
You're smart. I wish someone would've beat that info into me prior to mine. It took me seven days and when I finally did go, it was way worse than the surgery itself.
I am gathering all the info possible, as I am having my first LO in August and we are having a planned CS. This is GREAT advice! That was one thing that really got me anxious after having the baby and having a major surgery in my abdomen. Thanks for sharing!
