Um...I'm asking for a "friend..."
If one were to get what appears to be the faintest BFP evarrr (trust me, it's an eye squinter) at 12 DPO using an Wondfo...would one wait a couple more days, then bust out the digi and call the doc after the weekend, or would one call now for a beta, even though it is very early? My friend confirmed with her DH that the line was there, but is scared because it's so light.

I had the faintest line on my first wondfo. It was so faint it took me all day to convince myself the line was actually there. I was only 10dpo. I tested again the next day and the line was darker. I kept using wondfos (I had some to use up) for 3 more days, then took a digi and called the doc.
I can totally understand your friends worries, but whether she tests again tomorrow and calls the doc or waits til next week really isn't going to change that worry. Being pgal, means you worry until you hold that precious, healthy bundle in your hands, unfortunately, that is just the way it is post-loss.
Personally, I'd test again tomorrow and call the doc then if there is a line.
I would call now, especially if you think you may start on progesterone or something. My first beta was at 10dpo and was only 23. The only bad thing about finding out so early is I feel like I've been waiting/worrying about the first ultrasound FOREVER and it is still a week from tomorrow away.

Yup! This exactly! When I first poas I thought is was an evap too line because it was oh so faint - fast forward 3 days, super dark line and + hcg! Get a beta now and let us know as soon as you humanly can!

Yay! Tell kpowers982's friend that I got a super faint line on a Wondfo at 8 DPO on Tuesday. It was a squinter. The next morning (yesterday) I took a Wondfo and FRER and the lines were definitely darker. I called the doctor yesterday and am going for my first betas next Monday at 14 DPO.
A line is a line so I would say call either today or tomorrow.
FWIW I will probably POAS every morning to make sure it's getting darker, so far so good.

I would do anything I could to distract myself over the weekend and test again on Monday.
Just think - the longer your friend waits now, the better the betas, and the sooner she gets to see the dr and the scan. (Not the sooner, obviously, but the shorter the wait between positive stick and Dr appt.)

I think that would be good advise to give your friend. Also remind your friend that evening pee tests might not be as reliable as first morning ones..... make sure you keep us updated on how she's doing

I got a super faint 2nd line on a Wondfo at 7DPO and it was afternoon pee. The next morning I tested again with a Wondfo and a digital. The results were darker 2nd line and "pregnant."
Congratulations! My vote is pee on everything!!

If it were me I would try again tomorrow with SMU (SMU seems to work better for me than FMU), and since tomorrow is Friday, if the FRER line was there I would call for a beta to be drawn tomorrow. If there was a local hospital with an outpatient lab that is open on the weekend I would have the second set drawn on Sunday to keep them about 48 hours apart.
If there was no FRER line tomorrow, I would test with SMU each day over the weekend and Monday. If a line eventually appeared on the FRER then I would call and have beta's drawn on Monday.

A line is a line. Call your doctor. They might tell you the numbers look low, but as long as they double.

Tell your "friend" that ct says congrats and don't worry, it's only 12 dpo. I'm sure the line will become darker in the days to come. I'm waiting at the edge of my seat to see what happens!

I just looked at my tests today.
At 12dpo I had the faintest line ever and still faint at 13dpo (beta that day 19). I didnt get a + digi until 14 or 15dpo. FRER was easier to read than the wondfo ( 13dpo).

Well this gives me friend a little hope. She told me she used a digi this morning at 13 DPO and it was negative. She also used a FRER, and the line was there but super faint...she had to instruct her DH how to look at it to see the line. : Her wondfo tests are still positive though. I'll tell her to cool her jets! It's hard though.
