Well now I feel bad....

Tonight was the first night I gave ds some rice cereal (which he loved and chowed down). My mom was over and dh was outside tearing down our back deck because we 're building a new one. So I gave ds his cereal and taped it on my phone so dh could watch it later. Well dh just said to me that he wished I waited because he wanted to see him eat cereal for the first time. I didn't even think to wait because he didn't care that he wasn't there for his first bath and hasnt really made a big deal about missing other things. Now I feel bad I didnt wait for him and he missed it :(

    Oh man, my dh gets sad about the smallest things. It makes me feel guilty that I get to see all the firsts. I think the first laugh was the hardest for him because she did it three times for me before he heard it. She also only wants me when she is tired and I think it hurts his feelings :(

    Thanks for the replies :) I'll definitely wait for him on other things now that I know he wants to be apart of them.

    My DH is the same way. So when DD does something I do not always mention it, so when she does it for him I let him have his moment and allow him to think its her first time. The little things that make him happy:)
