Doing an injectibles cycle. My RE is doing a slow and steady approach. So my question is if you did injections did "slow and steady" win the race?
How many follicles did you have at trigger? What was your dosage and how many days did you stim for? And did you do an IUI?
Today is my 6th day of injections at 50 iu per day and I have on follicle at 12mm so far. I go back Sat. Thanks ladies

Re: Injections question
Here is my history w/ injectibles (follistim)
1) 5 days of 75 iu = 1 mature follicle; 1 IUI BFN
2) 5 days of 75 iu & another day of another dose- can't remember how much (over 75) bc didn't have have any good follicles. Ended up w/ 1, maybe 2 mature ; 1 IUI BFP (though ended in miscarriage
3) 5 days of 150 iui = 3 mature follicles-2 IUIs BFP (currently pregnant with quintuplets, so smaller follicles can be fertilized!)
Personally I'd ask for an increase for next time. Not that you probably want to wind up pregnant with 5 babies, but seems like it is taking awhile for you to get a good follicle. Though, your doc knows more than me!
GL to you! Hope it works out!
Slow and steady worked for me. I can't remember how many days it was, but I was on 75 iu, which aty the time was the lowest dose.
At trigger I had an 18 & 18.5. (I actually just went back to see the RE this week and he said it could have been triplets because I also had a 14 and he counts everything over 12. This is all news to me because another dr there actually triggered me since mine went on vacation.)
We did TI and had a singleton. It was my first cycle on Follistim.
My RE just suggested that they start me at 50 iu this time so I won't respond so well.
GL!
Slow and steady worked for us this last time. My first injectable cycle I overstimmed and cancelled my cycle. I started with 75IU of Follistim and had 10 follies at my CD6 u/s. They continued to cut my dosage in hopes of slowing me down but it didn't work. I still had 8 follies at my CD10 u/s and my RE didn't want to covert us to IVF and I thought it was too risky doing IUI.
This last cycle I got a sniff of Follistim (35IU - smallest dosage you can take) the whole time and had 2 leaders and 1 smaller one at trigger. Good luck!
