Me 30/DH 31
Married in June 2003. TTC since 2008.
M/c in Nov. 2008.
D/x: DOR and MFI
5 cycles of IUI in 2010.
IVF #1 in Nov. 2011. ER 11/22. ET 11/25. BFN.
We used this agency for our homestudy and post-placement visits only. Nothing but good experiences with everyone we dealt with.
We did sit in on one day-long session with them when we were in the beginning stages of looking at what direction we wanted to take (i.e., private, facilitator, etc.).
Thanks! Someone mentioned them to us. We've been trying to adopt through the foster care system with little luck. We're thinking of moving on to a private agency. Just wondered what people thought of them.

We just went to our weekend intensive with them this weekend and signed our contract- we love them so far. It was such a relief to meet everyone in person and hear a lot more information about the agency and still be really happy with our choice!
We worked with IAC with our adoption and they were awesome! We have nothing but good things to say about them. We adopted with their help over 2 years ago and we continue to participate in their support groups and events. Its wonderful to have a community of friends through IAC even post adoption. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. (We worked with the Los Angeles office.) Good luck!
Thanks everyone! We're not in one of the states where they have an office. We're in WV. Has anyone had to deal with that and how did it work out? I'm assuming we'll also deal with a local agency but the increased costs with two agencies concerns me.

I don't know if you're still checking this thread but I figured I would respond anyway. We don't live in a state where they have an office (although apparently they are opening a NY office within the next few months- we didn't know that when we started working with them). You have to go to a weekend intensive at one of the offices (we went to Raleigh) where they explain the whole process and it's clear what is different for people who are out-of-state. There is actually a discount on their fees for out-of-state families because they aren't doing your homestudy- I think its $2K off and our homestudy cost us $1500 with another agency in NY so it worked out well. Even having to work with 2 agencies, this was by far the most affordable option we've seen. We were actually really glad that they make you go to the weekend intensive in person because we got SO much information and it would have been overwhelming if it was online or over the phone only. If you end up getting matched with a BM that isn't in one of their states (they told us 20%) then you will have to work with another agency or attorney for TPR because they can only take relinquishments for their own states. But you can specify that you only want BM's from IAC states if you don't want that extra cost. You can PM me if you have any other questions- hope that helps!

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!
Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!
