Alot to think about...nervous :(

Hi Ladies

Nov 2011 i had a 12 inch tumor removed from my uterus. due to that surgery i will have to get a c-section to prevent my uterus from erupting...i am sooo nervous. I don't know what to expect?? i spoke with the doctor and he told me that i will be scheduled for a c-section at 39 weeks.

has any of you ladies gone into labor prior to your scheduled c-section??

anyone going through the same thing?

    I didn't go through the same thing as far as prior surgery and risk of uterine rupture, but I did go into labor before my scheduled c/s.  I was scheduled for a c/s at 39w4d due to a breech baby, and went into labor on my own exactly 2 weeks earlier.  Then just went ahead and did the c/s at that time as an "emergency" c/s.

    I would talk to your doctor about your fear of going into labor early, and find out what they would want you to do if you suspect you're in labor.

    I would suggest reading the chapter on c/s in the Mayo pregnancy guide. It outlines what exactly will happen from start to finish.
