So I just found out that DH is using my Dyson to vacuum both the garage and the front patio. Wonderful. I'm blaming him on why it is not working. And, he has yet to call them up to see about what we can do to fix it.
Married 08.06 Started TTC 05.08 Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH DH: perfect 1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p 2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
ours was totally not working a few weeks ago. didn't suck very well and wasn't picking anything up on the carpet either.
their website troubleshooting was awesome, if you haven't already tried that I'd start there. we figured out we had to clean out the filter(s) better and how to do all that. we also had a bunch of hair (oops) stuck in the rotating brush. maybe I'm just lame and didn't realize all that before but it was helpful for me!!

good luck!
Ahh. Thank you for the suggestion.
I've actually tried their website and it was helpful but after cleaning the filters, checking for clogs, and removing the cover to the brush to clean off all the hair (between the german shepherd, me, and one of the cats, there's enough for a wig), it still isn't vacuuming like it should.

MH's solution: buy another one. Lawls.
bummer. well I hope you figure it out and don't have to fork out for another... GL!
Ours broke and it was still under it's 5 year warranty (just barely!). We called them and they had us bring it in to the local service center and replace basically all of it for free, they are a great company!

I bought mine in 2009 after I graduated from college so it should still be under warranty.
I don't think I should have to buy another if DH would actually just get around to making the call.

OMG! I would be so pissed. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs and a toddler. I can't live without my dyson.

I'm thinking shop vac as early Father's Day gift.
He told me never to buy him tools for his anniversary, birthday, or Christmas, but he never said anything about Father's Day.
bummer.

You haven't met his mother. He tells me that she used to vacuum out their garage when he was a kid.
And one Christmas, she hired people to put up her Christmas tree and decorate it.
