Saturday is Cinco de Mayo and DH and I are going to a party.
I gave up drinking when I started Estrace, so I won't be having any alcohol, but DH wants to drink even though he will need to produce a sample and drive it to our clinic at 8:00 Sunday morning.
I personally don't think it's a good idea. I don't mind if he has a beer or two, but I don't want him drinking all night.
What do you think? Should he skip the alcohol for just one fickin' night or do you think it's okay for him to drink up with the boys?
Re: Drinking night before ER (DH, not me.)
I wouldn't want DH drinking a lot the night before a sample was needed. We did a SA right after 4th of July weekend, and DH tied one on that weekend. He never had bad numbers, but after that test they weren't great, and my RE had him re do it and they were much better after he didn't drink.
It's such an important procedure I just wouldn't take the chance... There will be another Cinco de Mayo next year!!
Good luck!!!

I agree w/ the other ladies! Too much time and money invested to take that risk.
Forever our's October 17th 2012
It would really have no impact on the current swimmers, just the ones he's growing now. Booze pretty much has little impact on sperm, unless we are talking about a HEAVY drinker.
That being said, with all invested....i'd say NO WAY to a binge. He has 364 OTHER days of the yr he can do that.
I'd be more afraid that he would oversleep and miss the appointment bc he is hung over than the alcohol affecting the sperm!!! Therefore I vote NO to a binger. A few drinks are ok.
(I'm thinking of the Seinfeld episode where Elaine has the marathon runner at her place and she has to make sure he gets up and he misses the race...)
