Backstory: I went to the doc Friday (34w6d) because I thought my water
broke. Doc checked and I was all clear with 0 progress at all.
Today
I had my reg apt. with my regular doctor. She kept making comments
about how a VBAC isn't looking good because I had no progress as of
Friday. Then she tried to say how size could be an issue even though
baby measured 58% at the growth ultrasound today. I just didn't like
how she kept mentioning that baby may have to come c/s for this reason
and that reason. I even had to have her reiterate herself that I'm
allowed to go to 41 weeks because even THAT sounded questionable from
her. I guess this is the point where I have to stick to my guns unless
medical necessity comes into play.
Re: Doc frustration
Stay strong and stick to your guns. Isn't it GOOD to have no progress at 35 weeks? You have 5 weeks to go! Doesn't mean anything anyway. Women go from completely closed to active labor all the time.
This doc sounds like she's going to try to talk you into a C. Don't let her.
(Just for background: I have two kids, the last a successful VBAC).
Ugh, sounds like your doc is pulling a bait and switch and looking for a reason to RCS you. :-(
Be strong and stick to the plan and don't let her get to you!
This! And that really sucks.
Um, why would you WANT progress at 35wks??
She's off her rocker...
Yes, I agree with this too. I'm sorry! I'm sure it's too late to switch too. Stay strong and good luck!
I know someone who switched at 40 weeks when her doctor tried to bait and switch. So don't assume it is too late! OP, good luck.
