Anyone else feel bad about putting their LO in the swing? For some reason I feel so guilty about, like I should be holding him all the time. But sometimes I need a break. He does not scream or cry in the swing, just sits there peacefully or sleeps...

This is true. Right now I am guilty of him being in there while I sit on here, but I put him in there to use the bathroom and eat and before I knew it he was asleep.
I do have to do it sometimes to get somethings done around the house, and I keep trying to tell myself that its good for him to learn to entertain himself and to be able to look around. I always try to keep it within sight of me.
Exactly this. We'd go nuts if we had no down time to relax or just to take care of our basic needs (eating, showering, etc.). There's no need to feel guilty about being able to take care of ourselves while our children peacefully nap or hang out.

If he was in there for hours on end awake. . . then yes. but honestly no as long as he's happy. Right now my little guy is talking and smiling at himself in the mirror on the mobile in the swing so I can eat lunch (and "bump")
This morning he sat in the bouncy seat while we put away my clothes- I talk to him the entire time.
You can't hold your baby all the day, and even if you "wear" your baby in a carrier (which I often do) I can only do that do much before I get tired.
My Colton...Growing up so fast!
And Coralee, his baby sister...On the way!
DONT feel guilty.
I put DD in the swing all the time, she will sit quietly in the swing for longer than anywhere else. It is like daily swing time while mom, showers, cooks dinner, eats ect. She loves to watch the mobile and it projects butterflies on the walls...she babbles to it and If I turn it so she can look out the window she loves that too. It is not like you leave her in there screaming all day. we LOVE the swing! oh and the dogs will walk by, the swing puts them at eye level and she recently started noticing them and smiling at them as they pass.
