How do you say PCOS?"

This is totally random, but whenever I read posts and see "PCOS" I read it in my head as the initials, p-c-o-s. When I went to my Resolve group last week, a girl said "pee-cos."

So I'm curious...

I say "pee-cos" however if I'm talking to a fertile they look at me like wtf? So I have to say p-c-o-s or completely say it all.

Like the end of the word tacos. Sorry, should have clarified that.

EDIT: Wait, no. That would be more like "cose." It's a soft 's' at the end. Like the "cos" part of the word "cosign"

I say p-c-o-s and then further say the words if needed for clarification. Actually never heard pee-cos. Good to know so I won't look confused if someone says it that way in the future!

I've only been to the one meeting, but I really enjoyed it. It's nice to have the face-to-face version of the support we all enjoy here

Wow maybe I'm the one who has it wrong. I assumed everyone said it that way. Even my RE says it as peecos. Maybe it's a where you live kind of thing?

I have always said the letters - P.C.O.S., as do my doctors.

The only person in the world who I have heard call it "Pee-Cose" would be my husband, but he was just learning what it was. For some reason it still makes me laugh when I hear him say it.

I have only heard and said P-C-O-S and never the other way. It is what it is and that is the initials of the condition. I wouldn't know what the hell they were talking about with Pee-cose!! lol
