I got a small tattoo on my foot when I was 19. I keep pinning tattoo ideas on Pinterest like I'm going to get one. Part of me wants another tattoo, but a small part of my brain is going, "Really? At 35??"
I think it totally depends on what it is and where you want it.
I got a small flower on my ankle when I was 18. I never regretted it, until the last year or so. Now I'm afraid it looks trashy, we live in a upper middle class neighborhood and my son is at the neighborhood elementary and I don't know, I never felt that way before. I had wanted to get another, something on my wrist to do with my kids, but that desire is quickly fading.
Yes I do. I think there are much better ways to express one self then to ink your body. But if you really really want one put it somewhere that is covered up and cannot be seen by anyone but you.
Me personally I do not neither does DH. Matter of fact we both planning on getting one this year. For me it's my first and is a Celtic cross in memory of my mom, and DH is getting our son that I just had name on him to go along with mine and dd, and another in memory of my mom and our dog we just put down after 14 years So I say go for it

Question, does that mean you don't like tattoos at any age? Or just after a certain point?
I highly doubt I'll actually do it but 16 years after the first one, I still love it.

Personally I agree with LittleMermaid but if you go for it please listen to this advice, since you posted the ? I know you care what people think and a tattoo that cannot be hidden somewhat easily can send the wrong message to many people. I know I cringed when my neighbors 20yo per-med student DD got a cross with her name on her wrist.
Jen - Mom to two December 12 babies

No I don't. And I don't think you should worry about people judging you, either. There is always going to be someone to judge about something. I'm thinking of getting another, too.
No, I don't think so. I'm thinking about getting a tattoo of a sun in memory of the baby I miscarried. DD had decided that the name was going to be either Sunshine Bob for a boy, or Sunshine Rose for a girl. So I think it's fitting. A visual reminder of the little soul I hold so close to my heart and in my mind.
I don't like tattoos, but I think you're probably better off getting it at this age than when you're 18. Seems like less chance of getting something you'll regret later.

This is a great idea, so sweet & special.
I got my 1st on my 35th birthday so I go with no it's fine.
Not at all! I am 38 and I have gotten 2 in the last 6 months. I got my other one on my ankle when I was 18. I have 3 total. I plan on getting 2 more but I think that is it.
I really don't care what other people think about my tattoos or where I have them. If they want to judge me by some ink on my body that has a special meaning to me then so be it. Their loss.
Nope. But, get one that has meaning. don't just get one for the sake of getting one. i have an abigram of my children's initials which i think i will still love in 40 years.
Re: Do you think 35 is too old to get a tattoo?

Sorry, I got off on a tangent there.
